This page is maintained by LoopLink to answer common privacy questions about looplink.ca. It describes what information we collect when you use the marketplace, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information — email address and any name or contact details you add to your profile.
  • Listing content — properties you post, including addresses, photos, pricing, and broker contact details.
  • Activity you save — favourites, saved searches, and notification preferences.
  • Inquiries — the name, email, phone number, and message you submit when contacting a broker or our team.
  • Technical data — approximate location derived from your IP address (used to default your search market), device and browser information, and usage logs.

How we use it

  • To operate your account, listings, favourites, and saved searches.
  • To deliver inquiries to the relevant listing owner or broker.
  • To default search results to your local market until you choose another city.
  • To send service and alert emails you have opted into.
  • To detect abuse and keep the marketplace secure.

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

When you submit an inquiry, your message and contact details are shared with the listing owner or broker so they can respond. We also use service providers to host the site, run our database and authentication, render maps, and receive MLS® listing data. Listing content you publish is public.

MLS® and third-party listing data

Some listings displayed on LoopLink originate from MLS® data feeds. That content remains subject to the attribution and disclaimer terms shown at the bottom of this page and on every page of the site.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or remove your listings, favourites, and saved searches at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account and associated personal information, email us and we will action the request.

Your choices

  • Access, correct, or delete your profile from My Account.
  • Turn off alerts from Notifications and Saved Searches.
  • Control cookies through your browser — see our Cookie Policy.

Security

Access to accounts is protected by authenticated sign-in, and database access rules restrict private records such as favourites, saved searches, and inquiries to their owners. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please use a strong, unique password.
